You are required to do the following:
a) Draw the FBD of the mass
b) Write the differential equation of the system (use
all given numerical values in your equation)
c) Re arrange the equation for Simulink modelling
d) Use Simulink to model the system and output the
following (over a simulation period of 10 seconds):
i. The displacement variation of the mass with time (graphically displayed)
ii. The velocity variation of the mass with time (graphically displayed)
iii. The damping force values (graphically displayed)
e) Repeat the above, but with changing values of c (c= 400 to 1000 in steps of 200
each time) and obtain a plot of the displacement and velocity for each case
f) COMMENT ON YOUR RESULTS IN TERMS OF THE EFFECT OF C ON THE OUTPUT
IN EACH CASE
