HM 6070 Health Outcomes and Behaviors
This course examines patient behaviors in relationship to health outcomes. In management, the goal is to minimize the need for service while maximizing patient well being, quality of service, and profit. Various theories and measures are used to analyze opportunities, lower cost, and keep quality balanced with access to services. Several patient-related tracking methods ,such as, health-care assessments, results-reporting, decision-making, evaluation techniques and the development of health status indicators are reviewed. The implementation of integrated delivery systems and risk adjustment methods for management is analyzed. The importance of human resource management practices and issues, such as, performance analysis and design, organization structure analysis and medial cultural issues are discussed.
